Nick Bolkus

Nick Bolkus served in the Australian Cabinets of Prime Ministers Bob Hawke and Paul Keating in the roles of Minister for Consumer Affairs, Minister for Administrative Services, Minister for Immigration, Minister Assisting the Treasurer (for Prices) and Minister of Multicultural Affairs.

For over a quarter of a century, he was a prominent Labor Party Senator and political identity.

Since leaving politics in 2005, Nick has earned a strong corporate reputation, serving on a number of private-sector boards and consulting to companies in Australia and abroad. He was a foundation member of the Australia/USA Dialogue and has a comprehensive understanding of China.

Nick is a board member of the Healthy Living project, a joint venture of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Li Ka Shing Foundation, supporting healthy lifestyle changes in the north and far west regions of South Australia. He is also a board member of the Australian Fisheries Academy.

Respected by the Labor Party hierarchy, he has an invaluable understanding of the inner workings of State and Federal Governments.
